Jigsaw are a five-piece band, comprising Violin, Penny Whistle, Guitar, Bass, Vocal & Bohdrum / Percussion, based in the Haute Savoie.  They bring together four nationalities, Scottish, English, French and Scandinavian, to put their own unique stamp on traditional Scottish and Irish sets, jigs and songs..

Formed in 2017 by Louise, Jaz and Sam, and based between St Jean d'Aulps, Le Biot and Bernex, the band plays an energetic blend of Celtic instrumental sets and songs that get any crowd foot-stomping and dancing.

The core trio's musical backgrounds range from classical orchestral training to punk, giving Jigsaw's arrangements and live performances a rare mix of precision and rawness.

Louise, a classically trained violinist who turned down a scholarship to the Royal Academy to travel the world, brings authenticity and energy on fiddle. Sam, also classically trained, adds harmony, tone and depth on penny whistle, flute and piccolo. Jaz channels his post-punk roots into the guitar and vocals, giving the band its edge. CJ delivers bass lines that add depth and weight to the Jigsaw sound, and VK’s percussion, on bodhrán, snare and stomp, drives the band's energy forward.

Comfortable playing everything from traditional Ceilidh dances to sweaty mosh pits, Jigsaw are a highly experienced live act across the Haute Savoie region, available for Ceilidhs, Weddings, Bars, Clubs, Festivals and Private Parties.
